An official certification that settles the matter
The NBTC certification confirms, in commercial terms, the existence of two new smartphones destined for worldwide markets:
- The Redmi Note 17 5G (model number 26081RA18G).
- The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G (model number 2609FRA74G).
While this regulatory step doesn’t spell out the full spec sheet, it does make the “Pro Max” name official and signals that an international launch is fast approaching.

The leaks surrounding this ultra-premium model paint the picture of a seriously beefy device:
- Display: A large 7-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and an adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate.
- Photography: An impressive 200 MP Samsung HP5 main sensor, backed by an 8 MP OmniVision ultra-wide lens and a 32 MP Samsung selfie camera.
- Processor: The MediaTek Dimensity 7500 chip, designed to deliver very solid all-round performance.
- Battery and charging: A titanic 10,000 mAh capacity (which is expected to be adjusted to 9,210 mAh on the Global Version), paired with 100W ultra-fast charging.
On the memory front, official filings confirm configurations with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, paired with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. The device will also keep much-loved features such as microSD expansion, an NFC chip and IP68 water resistance.
Redmi Note 17 Global: what changes on the standard model
In parallel, the details on the international version of the standard Redmi Note 17 are becoming clearer. The phone will carry over the huge 7-inch OLED screen (1.5K, 120 Hz) and the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor from the Chinese variant, alongside the 50 MP main sensor and 45W charging.
The one notable difference concerns battery life: the Global Version is said to pack a 7,700 mAh battery, slightly down on the 8,000 mAh of the Chinese model (a capacity the Indian version could nonetheless retain).
