Before the details, one clarification that changes how this whole page should be read. Digital Chat Station did not name the device. What he describes is a project: Honor is evaluating a native rear-display design for a slim, camera-focused phone.
Linking it to the Honor 700 series is a deduction, not a piece of information: it is simply the range whose timing and positioning fit best. Entirely plausible, but still to be confirmed.
One thing, on the other hand, is stated without ambiguity: the flagship line will not adopt this design. The Magic 9 and its variants keep a conventional architecture. The rear screen, if it ships, belongs to the numbered range.
A 1.7-inch second screen: what it is actually for
The secondary display would measure around 1.7 inches and sit directly in the rear glass panel, next to the camera module. Two uses justify it, and the first is by far the more convincing.

Honor 700 price: what to expect
Nothing has leaked, and nothing will before the announcement. The range does give a solid order of magnitude, though: at its Chinese launch, the Honor 300 started at 2,299 yuan — around €290 — with its 12 GB version at 2,499 yuan (around €320). The Honor 300 Pro came in at 3,399 yuan, around €430.
That is the real appeal of this range, and what sets it apart from the Magic series: we are talking €300 to €450 in China, while the brand’s flagship tier sits at roughly double. An extra rear screen would add a few tens of euros, without changing the category.

The rest of Honor’s roadmap
The same tipster delivered three other items, at very different stages of maturity.
A 12,000 mAh battery in trial production. The figures are precise: a rated capacity of 11,790 mAh for a rated energy of 43.86 Wh, which corresponds to a typical capacity of around 12,000 mAh. No device is named, but the suggestion is the Honor Power 3, expected by early 2027 with the next-generation 3 nm Dimensity 8600. For scale: that is one and a half times the battery of a 2026 flagship, already considered generous at 8,000 mAh.
A wide foldable under study. Careful with this one: the project has not entered formal development yet. Honor would be looking at a foldable with a wider screen than the two devices of the kind already on the market, which top out between 6.3 and 6.4 inches. Earlier reports mention a 20-megapixel main camera, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip and a 7,000 mAh battery. Treat it as a lead, not a product.
The Win 2 series is speeding up. These gaming-focused models could be unveiled as early as October in China, sooner than expected.
