Oppo appears to be rethinking its plans for the hotly anticipated Find X10 series. According to the latest claims shared by leaker Digital Chat Station, the manufacturer has reorganised the hierarchy of its upcoming flagship family, changing screen sizes, chipsets and the positioning of each model.
Here is what is said to be changing for Oppo’s next high-end generation.
Find X10 Pro Max: revised display and triple 200 MP setup
The most significant change concerns the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max. While early rumours pointed to a 6.89-inch panel in 2K resolution, recent prototypes suggest an adjustment:
- Display: a flat 6.78-inch panel in 1.5K resolution. Thanks to LIPO encapsulation technology, the screen is said to feature ultra-thin symmetrical bezels.
- Processor: MediaTek’s high-end Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, built on a 2 nm process.
- Photography: an impressive rear module built around three 200-megapixel sensors: a Samsung HPC main sensor with high dynamic range, a 200 MP ultra-wide and a 200 MP periscope telephoto.
Find X10 and X10 Pro: the duo ready for launch
The standard model and the Pro version are expected to debut together:
- Oppo Find X10: it is tipped to sport a 6.59-inch (1.5K) screen and to be powered by the Dimensity 9600 Lite chip built on a 3 nm process, described as an overclocked version of the current Dimensity 9500.
- Oppo Find X10 Pro: it is said to use the same 6.78-inch (1.5K) display as the Pro Max, while sharing the power of the 2 nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip with it.
Oppo is reportedly also assessing a second compact 6.59-inch variant fitted with another Dimensity 9 series processor, although the commercial release of this model has apparently not been settled yet.
What about the Ultra model?
One of the biggest question marks surrounds the future of the Find X10 Ultra. It is still unclear whether the Ultra version has been replaced by the Find X10 Pro Max or whether its launch will simply come later. Should the Ultra model be dropped for this generation, the Find X10 Pro Max would effectively become the most advanced device in Oppo’s catalogue.
An autumn appointment
This strategic reshuffle shows Oppo’s determination to sharpen its range against the competition. With 2 nm chips, bezels trimmed to the extreme and a camera module packing three 200 MP sensors, the Find X10 series is shaping up to be particularly ambitious.
