A major leak shared by tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed the key specifications of the iQOO 16. With the Ultra version reportedly set to be cancelled because of rising memory costs, this standard model is poised to become the true technological showcase of the line-up.
A record-breaking 8,500 mAh battery
The most striking detail in this leak concerns battery life. The iQOO 16 is currently said to be in testing with a colossal 8,500 mAh cell. A capacity of that size promises to redefine endurance standards for gamers and heavy users alike. To go with that energy reserve, the manufacturer is tipped to have chosen a flat 2K display built around a new customised panel material, optimised to deliver an ultra-high refresh rate that is ideal for multimedia.
A 2 nm chip and gaming-specific hardware
Under the bonnet, the engineering prototype reportedly runs on Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. To squeeze the most out of the most demanding mobile games, iQOO is said to pair it with a dedicated graphics chip. Immersion should be boosted by a high-end symmetrical stereo speaker system (1115 series) offering excellent channel separation, along with an X-axis linear motor (0916 series) for surgically precise haptic feedback.
